My 2014 calendar arrived today. You’re probably wondering, “Aren’t you a little late for something like that?”
Yes and no.
I have saved all my favorite wall calendars over the years so I don’t have to buy a new one every year—I mean, what difference does it make if the calendar says 1990 as long as the dates line up with the days?
This year, I found a 1992 calendar in my collection that showed January 1 falling on a Wednesday, same as 2014, but ’92 was a leap year, so when March arrived—oops—everything was out of whack.
I searched for a quilt-themed calendar, a subject I don’t have in my current collection and found a good one with some spectacular quilts in it.
The only other calendar theme I would love to have is vintage Barbie—with photos of real Barbie dolls wearing the clothes Mattel manufactured for her in the late 1950s and into the ‘60s. That would be ultra cool.
