Not your run-of-the-mill school concert

The end-of-year highlight for the students in our high school jazz band is a gig at a local jazz club. We just returned from a night out with some friends to hear them perform. They played 10 songs, among them a Gershwin tune, a Goodwin tune, a Latin number, a Radiohead song adapted for jazz bands and What is Hip by Tower of Power. These kids rocked.

Ross is second from left, front row, stage. He blew the audience away with his guitar solo during the Radiohead number Paranoid Android. We’re so proud. Can’t wait ’til next year!

Where is the video? Sound – I am missing the sound – I want to hear the awesome jazz band. I guess I will have to wait for my private concert the next time I am in Broomfield. Good job Ross.

    • Wish we did have a recording! John said this morning that he could’ve sat there for another hour or so to hear more. That’s the ticket, leave the fans wanting!!
